Hey, Kevin Smith… WHERE’S OUR INTERVIEW?

On 11 March, at aprox 5:23 p.m. one Mr. Kevin Smith responded via Twitter to GGotS Editor Kate Kotler’s shameless blo(g)job ploy attempt to get a 1:1 interview with him at Wondercon 2010.  In said Tweet, Mr. Smith – a longtime favorite of all the staff of GGotS – stated he would grant us a brief interview for our baby, fledgling, geeky-girl publication…

Since that time editors and fans of GGotS have tried to contact Mr. Smith to schedule the interview – which if logic prevails, would need to happen on Friday, 4/2 as that is the day that he is to appear at Wondercon.  We’ve tried Tweets, Facebook messages and emailing the press representative of View Askew… with no response.

Now: We are all big fans of Mr. Smith and his body of work.  Knowing how appreciative Mr. Smith is of his fans – who stand by him through thick and thin and Jersey Girl – the editorial team of Geek Girl on the Street is positive this is merely an oversight on Kevin’s part and that he’s not purposefully dicking us over and bailing on the promised interview.

Because that would make him a douche, right?

And, we all know that Kevin Smith is not a douche.

So… we ask… one more time… and, encourage all you reading to ask, too: KEVIN SMITH WHERE AND WHEN IS GEEK GIRL ON THE STREET GONNA HAVE THEIR 1:1 INTERVIEW WITH YOU?
