Hello lovely readers of Geek Girl on the Street!  Over the next 30 days we are trying to raise $1,500 to send Kate Kotler to the South-by-Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, Tx. March 12-17. (You can donate to this cause via PayPal using the geekgirlonthestreet@gmail.com email address!)

At SXSW Kate is going to “hard launch” this website -guerrilla marketing style- via her own energy, charm, unique networking style and ability to cause people’s heads to turn through goofy public pranks.

For those of you who don’t know what SXSW is – simply put – it is one of the BIGGEST interactive (IE: everything web-based technology) in the world.  Twitter, FourSquare, Playfish and lots of other really awesome online apps and services have had very very successful public launches from SXSW.

Simply put: SXSWi is the largest grouping of the target demographic for this publication in the continental United States.

But, of course, we don’t want you to give something and get nothing!  Every little donation – $5 to $500 – helps us get closer to our goal.  And, for substantial donations you’ll receive…

• Donations $5-$20 will receive a thank you postcard sent from Austin and acknowledgement (with embedded URL to your website) in a “thank you to our sponsors” post made the week of SXSW and stickied to the top of the website from 3/12-3/17.
• Donations $21-$50 will receive a thank you postcard, acknowledgement w/embedded URL and 100X100 graphic in the “thank you” post on the GGotS website and acknowledgement on 1,000 GGotS posters handed out/posted at SXSW.
• Donations $51-$100 will receive a thank you postcard, acknowledgement w/embedded URL and 100X100 graphic on GGotS and acknowledgement on 5,000 GGotS postcards handed out at SXSW.
• Donations $101 – $499 will receive a thank you postcard, URL and graphic in the “thank you post,” acknowledgement on both the postcards and posters AND Kate will wear a logo t-shirt from your company on the conference floor (9am – 5pm, you need to provide the t-shirt).  Not only that, but if you provide a 150 word talking point, Kate will answer questions and evangelize your company/product if (when) people ask her what her shirt is all about.  $101 gets two hours, $201 gets three hours, $301 gets four hours and $499 gets a full day of t-shirt wear.
• Donations of $500+ will receive ALL of the above – plus – GGotS will run the logo of your company as the “Sponsor of the Month” with a direct link to your homepage in the “Support GGotS!” graphic spot (see below) for the entire run of the conference PLUS the remainder of March, 2010.
